4th & 4th Foundation Board
Karen Greene
Karen Greene is a librarian who specializes in creating community-oriented events. She currently runs a monthly Adult Spelling Bee and a twice-yearly Books Swap and is the originator for the Pima County Public Library’s Bookbike project. She is always looking for opportunities for strangers to meet each other - whether it’s over jigsaw puzzles, street murals, swapping stories or riding bikes to Little Free Libraries. She plans to host a variety of events including Notes with Nana and the Silent Book Club at 4th&4th.
Elizabeth Langley
Elizabeth Langley is an artist and librarian looking for ways to connect with others over books, writing, art and other creative endeavors. She aims to use her experience running the Call to Artists for the Pima County Public Library to curate art exhibitions at 4th&4th. She’d also like to host art workshops and generate ideas for creating a community zine.
Jessica Pryde
Jessica Pryde is a Professional Book Person who loves to share her bookish joy with other readers. She’s the co-leader of Why Choose: A Tucson Romance Book Club and an advocate for reading inclusively across all genres. She looks forward to uplifting the voices of the historically and systemically excluded through events, book discussions, and other opportunities made possible through the Write on 4th Writing Center and the 4th and 4th event space.
Judy Sensibar
Judy Sensibar, a longtime advocate for 4th Ave and the surrounding neighborhoods, is the 4th&4th Foundation’s board president. A teaching artist in the public schools, she will build on her experience in the classroom to provide outlets for creative expression for people of all ages and abilities, with a focus on food writing, nature poetry, and fiction.
Alicia Saposnik
Alicia Saposnik is the director of the Write on 4th writing center and is excited to be part of 4th&4th’s mission of accessible opportunities for Tucsonans to meet, discuss, and create. She looks forward to Write on 4th providing youth and adults with everything from college essay intensives for high school seniors to creative programming for middle schoolers to special evening literary events. Alicia has an MFA in creative writing and has worked as an educator, writer and editor.
