Jessica P. Pryde is a reader, writer, editor, and librarian who is particularly interested in expanding people's reading worlds via romance novels. Her essay anthology Black Love Matters, which celebrates its fourth year in the world as of this February 1, explores how the Black experience is (and isn't) explored in contemporary romantic media.
